Riley Movie!

This is one of my favorite assignments to do for this course. I thought this assignment was so much fun. I enjoyed creating this movie. The name of my movie  is "Living the Life of Riley." Riley is my Dachshund, and one of my best friends. He was my Christmas present from my fiance` Larry. I was really surprised, and full of excitement after I found out he was for me. I chose to do my movie on Riley, because he takes the cutest  pictures of anyone that I know, so I figured I could not go wrong with creating a movie with photos of him.  I am really proud of this movie and happy it turned out the way I wanted it to. I was unfamiliar with Windows Movie Maker before this assignment. Even though I  was aware of this program, I never used it until this point. The only problem I had was uploading the pictures, because I was not aware that I could view the actual picture in the folder, instead I played the guessing game for a while and wrote down the photos picture number, and that went on for a while before I realized I could view the actual photo that I wanted to use for my movie. The NETS-T standards that were met in this assignment were
 4. Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility.

d. develop and model cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with colleagues and students of other cultures using digital-age communication and collaboration tools.

Meeting the NETS-T standards are important and should be followed by the teachers for the students to gain knowledge in technology. Creating a movie is fun, which means when the students find interest in such technology they are more likely to want to learn how to create a movie, and learn. Creating a movie is only one example of technology that is highly liked by the students. There are many other resources for the teacher to use that meet the NETS-T standard and are fun too.
